Sonitrol Pacific audio security detected threatening activity at a Puget Sound area school and police arrested three vandals June 21.
Operator Kathleen Armstrong received an impact-activated audio security alert from the grade school and heard suspicious bangs. She called a representative from the school district who said he preferred to investigate personally instead of calling police.
The district employee arrived on campus to find three kids breaking windows at the school and called police. The kids ran, but the employee took pictures. He gave police the pictures and a description of where the kids ran.
Police were able to track down the three suspected vandals and took them into custody.
Special “thanks” to the Marysville Police Department.
