Trespassers enter school through unlocked door, audio security detects

Chelsea Mitchell Arrests & Apprehensions

Four kids suspected of entering a Tacoma area school after they found an unlocked door were detected by Sonitrol Pacific security, detained by a security guard and released to their parents June 17.

Monitoring Operator Ashley Sutton received an alert from the school’s security system around 7 p.m.  She called the school district’s guard service to investigate.

The security guard located three boys and a girl at the school who had gone inside after finding an unlocked door.  No damage was done and nothing was taken.

The guard detained the kids until their parents came to pick them up.
