‘Rattling’ reveals kids on school roof

Ashley Sutton

Three kids trespassing at a Tacoma area school were caught after Sonitrol Pacific’s audio security system detected them on the roof June 17.

Monitoring Operator Ashley Sutton received security audio of a “rattling” from the teachers’ lounge area, followed by what she thought could be a ball being tossed into the room.  She called the school’s security guard service to locate the source of the noise.

The security guard found three young men on the roof of the school.  Their activity was responsible for the audio security sensor activations inside.  The three were detained until their parents came to pick them up.
