Police caught three children pretending to be ninjas on the roof of a Puget Sound area school after Sonitrol Pacific’s audio security system detected them June 11.
Operator Kris Etheridge received an impact-activated security system alert from the school just before 3 a.m. She heard a crashing metallic noise and sounds of footsteps, and called the sheriff’s department.
Deputies located three children near the school who told officers they were on the roof pretending to be ninjas. The children were detained and then released to their parents.
The school’s rotunda had been toilet papered, but no other damage was done.
