Olympic Air Show Noise and Traffic Advisory – June 18, 19 and 20, 2010
A high volume of traffic due to the Olympic Air Show will be experienced on Saturday and Sunday, June 19 & 20, in the following locations:
I-5, Exit #101 Tumwater Blvd., in both northbound and southbound exits; Tumwater Blvd.: from I-5 exits to Capitol Blvd./Old Highway 99; Capitol Blvd.: from Trosper Road, to Old Highway 99, and Old Highway 99 to 88th Avenue, with traffic congestion at Henderson Blvd.
The highest volumes will be patron entry from 9 am to 2 pm both days; traffic volumes during patron exit will be from 4 pm to 6pm both days.
Noise related to The Olympic Air Show will take place at the Olympia Regional Airport at the following times:
Friday, June 18 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm – practice session (non-public)
Saturday, June 19 12:45 pm to 4:15 pm
Sunday, June 20 12:45 pm to 4:15 pm
A complimentary pair of ear plugs is available to residents who may be disturbed by the aircraft noise. They will be available at the Olympic Flight Museum between the days of June 7 – 17. We are located at 7637-A Old Hwy. 99 SE at the Olympia Regional Airport in Tumwater.
