Audio security of banging and talking resulted in the dispatch of police and apprehension of five suspected school vandals July 4.

Sonitrol Pacific Operator Tara Fulmer was monitoring the junior high school’s security system when the initial alarm activated.  This was followed by additional sensor activations and security audio of banging noises and voices.  Fulmer called the school district’s security guard service to investigate.

When he arrived at the school, the security guard requested Fulmer call police.

Tacoma Police surrounded the building.  Soon after, one juvenile ran out a side door in an attempt to escape being caught.  He was promptly taken into custody.

A police dog was sent into the school to track down four more suspected vandals hiding inside.
