God and Sonitrol Pacific hear burglars

Chelsea Mitchell Arrests & Apprehensions

Minta Christopherson

Audio security of clattering and faint tapping resulted in a Sonitrol Pacific dispatch and the arrest of two suspected church burglars May 11.

Monitoring Operator Minta Christopherson received security system activations from an Everett church at about 2:30 a.m.  Listening to live audio from inside the building, she heard tapping noises, clattering sounds and other sounds of movement.  She immediately called police.  Christopherson continued to monitor the security audio from the church while officers were on their way and heard the sounds of movement getting louder and a voice whisper “oh my God”.

Everett Police officers used a police dog and located two people inside the church.

In less than 10 minutes, Sonitrol Pacific detected, verified and dispatched, and Everett Police responded, located and arrested suspects.  No damage was done to the church and nothing was stolen.
