Police arrested two people suspected of breaking into a school after Sonitrol Pacific detected threatening activity November 7.
Operator Jessica Culver received several security sensor activations from the Puget Sound area school just after 3:00 a.m. Listening to live audio inside the school, Culver heard only ambient noise, but her years monitoring Sonitrol Pacific detection technology told her something was amiss and she dispatched Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department.
Officers arrived on campus in about five minutes and found a 15-year-old girl and 18-year-old boy inside the school. The two told deputies they found an unlocked door and were just “looking around” inside. One of the teens had a burglary record and both were taken into custody.
Special “thanks” to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department.
