A trespasser detected by Sonitrol Pacific at a Tacoma area grade school was arrested when police discovered he was carrying marijuana June 19.
An impact-activated audio security alert was received in Sonitrol Pacific’s monitoring center by Operator Ashley Sutton around 8:30 p.m. The sensors picked up sounds of a crash and Sutton called the school district’s guard service to check it out.
According to the security guard, a 20-year-old man was found on school property. He admitted to punching a window due to being upset about something. No damage was done to the window, but the man was carrying about eight grams of pot and was arrested by Tacoma Police.
