The negative impact of false burglar alarms cannot be overstated. They waste scarce police resources and make typical burglar alarms ineffective to protect homes and businesses.

A city in California just approved what is being called the “most aggressive no-response policy” in an effort to combat the problem. I think the ordinance demonstrates the high level of frustration by communities across the country with unverified alarms.
