This one might rank for one of our strangest apprehensions this year. Jessica dispatched Everett PD yesterday when she received an audio impact alarm at a pizza restaurant in Everett when a man broke through the front door glass. He entered the restaurant and began to push back and forth on the candy machine anchored to the floor. He was able to pull it loose and then dragged it outside, where he broke the glass and began filling his pockets with candy. Everett PD later caught up with him and made the arrest.

Was this crime really worth all the effort? Probably not. The suspect will have plenty of time for regret once he’s booked for B&E!
