Okay, I’m really tired and my muscles are a bit sore, but the Relay for Life this weekend was fantastic! I’m so proud of my team, the Sonitrol Pacific SuperStars, for walking for 24 hours and raising more than $5,400 in donations. All the money goes to the American Cancer Society to support the fight against cancer.
Even though we worked hard, we had a lot of fun. Plus we won awards for Most Funds Raised by a Team, Most Funds Raised by an Individual and Most Team Spirit. I want to give a shout out to my awesome teammates: Janet Pucik, Sonitrol Pacific AP Specialist; Mattie MacKenzie, Sonitrol Pacific Payroll Specialist; Lisa Buckner, Sound Security Controller; Heather Rosenthal, Sonitrol Pacific HR Director; DeJa Irving, Sonitrol Pacific Tacoma Customer Service Representative; Todd Brodigan, Sonitrol Pacific Portland Technician; Sandy Page, Sonitrol Pacific Portland Inventory Specialist; Shawn Benefiel, Sonitrol Pacific Portland Public Agency Specialist; Amy Morris, Sonitrol Pacific Portland Customer Service Representative; Joel Hamley, Meadows Group Broker; Layne Chiaramonte, HR Director; Brenda Bryant; and Brandy Benefiel.
We met a lot of great people from other teams too. Team LP Building Products rocked and the US Bank teams were impressive. The nursing students from Linfield College tried to study while they walked … circling the track with their noses in textbooks.
The SuperStars are already making their plans for next year. We’d love to have you join us.
