One teen is in custody after breaking into a school in Ferndale, Wash. yesterday. Madison, an Operator in our Verification Center, received audio alarm activations of metallic banging followed by silence. A few minutes later, a door alarm came in with audio of movement. She alerted the school responder and left a message. Then, she heard multiple voices saying, “Go, go, go!” and she immediately dispatched Ferndale PD. When police arrived, Madison heard the teens yell “Cops!” as they ran out of the building. Madison called the police dispatcher to advise where the young suspects were in the building. She was told that one person was in custody.
