The United States Federal Communications Commission ruled that wireless telephone providers will no longer be required to support the original analog wireless network after February 1, 2008.

Some Sonitrol Pacific clients have a cellular back up module that ensures their alarm system will continue to have the capability of communicating even if a land line during a break-in. The original cellular modules used analog transmitters.

We are already seeing issues with many of the analog transmitters we currently service, because cell towers are being taken down early.

Any analog transmitter needs to be converted to a digital transmitter compatible with your system before February 1. Most of those upgrades have been completed, but please contact us if you think you’ve been missed.
