Police arrested a suspected school burglar due to Sonitrol Pacific security detecting the break-in May 20.
Monitoring Operator Minta Christopherson received an impact-activated audio security alert from the school just before midnight. She heard loud crashing noises and sounds of movement inside a portable classroom. Christopherson immediately called police.
Officers were at the school in minutes and located a broken window. A police dog was used to track down one suspect. He was taken into custody and gave police the name of a second intruder. Officers are following up to locate that person.
One computer tower and a projector were stolen from the school. Sonitrol Pacific’s quick and verified security and the fast response of Everett Police limited losses.
