With all of the conventional alarms on the market, it can be easy to think that all security systems are alike and that all companies are the same. When I meet with potential Sonitrol Pacific clients, these are some of the first questions I get.

Q: I don’t have anything to steal, does my business need a security system?

A:  Many folks don’t think about disruption of business and employee time lost from an undetected break-in.  Even if you don’t think you’re a target for thieves you may want to be protected so your customers don’t go to the competition while you are cleaning up the mess from a break in. In addition, your items might have value that you wouldn’t think would necessarily be valuable, but thieves sure like them. Copper, for instance, is one thing that almost all buildings have in some way or another and is a huge target for criminals. Installing a security system is a necessary first step in preventing copper theft.

Q: Does Sonitrol Pacific require a phone line?

A: We have multiple communications options, including phone line, IP network connections and cellular. If you have a phone line, we can certainly use that, but we won’t make you get one if you don’t already have it. With our iBase and Flexibase panel options, we can connect over your secure internet connection or use both a phone line and the internet connection. We also have cellular options and cellular back ups for our systems. We’ll make sure that we find the best option for your business.

Q: How long does it take to get a Sonitrol Pacific security system installed?

A: Most of the time we have a 3 to 4 week lead time depending on our jobs in progress. Our technicians are perfectionists, which means that we don’t leave a site until the installation is flawless, the system tested and the user trained.
