Jeff LaMont

Police arrested a trespassing couple inside an Everett woodworking machinery manufacturing business after they were detected by Sonitrol Pacific’s audio security system June 5.

Monitoring Operator Jeff LaMont received an impact-activated audio alert from the business and heard loud bangs and crashing sounds, followed by voices.  He immediately called Everett Police.

Officers located a homeless couple inside the building and took them into custody.

According to police, the couple climbed over a fence and broke through a window in the shop to get into the building.  The two suspects weren’t carrying any of the business’ property when police apprehended them.

In the past year, Sonitrol Pacific has detected three break-ins at this business, resulting in five arrests.
