In 2007, law enforcement officials arrested 134 suspects at 75 Sonitrol Pacific protected facilities.
Every Sonitrol Pacific system is designed for the earliest possible detection of threatening activity. This allows law enforcement to arrive on scene before a would-be intruder even knows the detection occurred.
In 19 of the 75 apprehension events, officers took suspects into custody before they could even get inside. Another 11 apprehension events stemmed from unusual points of entry that traditional electronic security systems wouldn’t have detected.
Operator Michael Young received the award for most apprehensions for the year. His expert monitoring led to 23 apprehensions in 2007.
Sonitrol Pacific dispatches have resulted in 4,848 apprehensions since August 1978 and we look forward to celebrating apprehension 5,000 in late 2008 or early 2009.
