School vandals caught by audio security
Deputies caught five juveniles suspected of vandalizing a Washington school after Sonitrol Pacific’s audio security detected threatening activity May 22.
Operator Minta Christopherson received security audio of banging and rustling sounds from a portable classroom at the school and called the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department.  While on the phone with the dispatcher, Christopherson heard at least two voices.
Sheriff’s deputies found two porch lights broken and the lamps on a large double flood light broken.
Officers located and detained three kids immediately on site.  The three in custody gave officers the names of two more people involved.  All five were cited for vandalism.
