Three Arrested in School Break-in
Sheriff’s deputies apprehended three suspects inside an area elementary school after the Sonitrol Pacific security system detected suspicious activity.
Audio signals emanating from the school’s computer lab were analyzed by one of Sonitrol Pacific’s monitoring experts to discover the nature of the activity. Once the operator determined the sounds indicated a threat, she dispatched officers.
Deputies arrived on the campus shortly after getting the call and promptly rounded up three suspects. The three individuals were taken into custody and all the school’s property was returned.
Since 1978, more than 5,000 suspects have been arrested due to detection by Sonitrol Pacific. Our operators verify alarm activations to ensure fewer false alarms and faster police response time. In 2008 alone, 178 suspects were arrested.
