Operator “Hears” Break-in, One Arrested

One suspect was arrested after a Sonitrol Pacific operator alerted police to suspicious activity at a Washington school June 18.
The operator, an expert at sound analysis, received a signal activation and heard sounds indicative of glass breaking. She called the school district’s guard service, but the guard said he was too far away to arrive in time to apprehend an intruder and the operator called the police department.
Police arrived to find a large window in the school’s library shattered. They promptly caught and cuffed the suspected culprit.

No other security system works like ours.  Thanks to Sonitrol Pacific's commitment to early and verified detection of criminal activity, 178 suspects were arrested in 2008 , more than 5,000 have been arrested since 1978.
