Audio Detection Foils Four at School
Four suspects were taken into custody after Sonitrol Pacific's monitoring center detected suspicious activity inside a school July 5.
A Sonitrol Pacific sound analyst received the initial impact-activated signal from the school and used real-time audio to determine the nature of the activity. The operator heard banging noises and dispatched the school district’s guard service. While the guards were en route to the school, the Sonitrol Pacific security system continued to relay alarms.
The guards arrived at the school and immediately took four individuals into custody. The security guards found a broken window, a two by four, orange juice and some crackers.
