Suspects fail to defy security, K9 unit

Police arrested two suspected school burglars July 12 due to Sonitrol Pacific's security detecting criminal activity and a police dog sniffing them out.
A signal from the school’s system put Sonitrol Pacific Operator Kris Etheridge on high alert.   She listened to real-time audio inside the school, but didn’t hear anything unusual.  Etheridge called the district’s guard service to investigate.  While the guard was en route to the school, the system detected more activity and police were called.
Officers arrived at the school and immediately apprehended one person.  Next, a police dog sprang into action and tracked down a second suspect.  Both were taken into custody.
