Voices Heard Through Audio Sensors Alert to Break-in

Deputies arrested three juveniles suspected of breaking into a school in Washington after audio sensors in the school’s Sonitrol Pacific security system detected whispering voices January 3.
Operator Tara Fulmer received the system’s activation signal and listened to real-time audio from the school to verify the alarm.  An expert sound analyst, Fulmer heard what she suspected to be teenage boys whispering and called the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies and members of the Tribal Police arrived quickly on scene and apprehended two young men and one young woman.
