Summers named January Employee of the Month
The Sound Security Board of Directors is impressed by Shannon Summers’ willingness to learn, work hard and maintain focus in order to close sales and grow the company. To recognize her contributions, the Board named her our January 2010 Employee of the Month.
Shannon is a Security Consultant for Sonitrol Pacific Seattle.
Not one to shrink from candid feedback, Shannon actively seek it from clients, prospects, peers and managers. She recognizes this information gives her opportunities to grow and refine her skills as a Security Consultant. Shannon takes what she learns and puts it into action. She also assess which actions yield results and share those with the team. For example, she took time to help fellow consultants improve their Power Point skills by facilitating a workshop and offering one-on-one phone coaching to those who asked.
Shannon proves “doing what it takes every day” delivers results. New clients comprise 40 percent of her sales. In the third and fourth quarters of 2009, Shannon exceeded your quota. This success fueled her drive and she reached her quota for the first quarter of 2010 before it was half over. Not one to rest on her laurels, Shannon continued to prospect, present and close new business. She keeps your goals front-and-center and usually holds the top spot on the “Sales Generator” report.
Shannon dedicates time to stay connected with the business community and law enforcement officials in her territory. She’s earned recognition from the Kent Chamber of Commerce and we are proud to have her as a Sonitrol Pacific ambassador in the community.
This award was in no way influenced by the trays of delicious holiday treats Shannon shared with the entire team … okay, maybe we were a little influenced by the sugar high. However, beyond her candy-making skills, Shannon works hard and her sales prove it. She is a valued member of the team and earned this honor.
