Audio Detects Suspected Safe-crackers, Police Arrest

Police arrested three individuals suspected of breaking into Shimmers through the building’s roof after a Sonitrol Pacific operator, monitoring audio detection technology, heard suspicious activity December 6.
Operator Michael Young received audio signal activations sensors and, when he listened to real-time audio, heard movement and voices.  Young immediately called Portland Police.
Officers arrived at the club and saw several people on the roof.  They took three suspected burglars into custody. These three arrests took Sonitrol Pacific's apprehension record over the 5000 mark.  A record like this is incredibly rare in the electronic security industry and reflects Sonitrol Pacific’s commitment to early and verified detection of criminal activity.

While officers were clearing the club, looking for more potential suspects, Young heard one say, “makes you wanna Sonitrol system.”
According to police, the three suspects got into the club through the roof, located a safe and were trying to cut through the bottom of it.
