Fast Response by Operator, Sheriff’s Deputies Yields Four Arrests

Four individuals suspected of vandalizing three schools were arrested after Sonitrol Pacific security detected suspicious activity and called Pierce County Sheriff’s Deputies December 5.

Award winning Operator Minta Christopherson received signal activations from the school and called deputies.  Christopherson was already on high alert having received activations at two other schools earlier that evening.  Windows were broken at those schools and Christopherson called officials, but the suspects were gone when officers arrived.

Deputies arrived at the school in about four minutes and immediately located and arrested three suspects.  Officers sent a K9 unit on the trail of an additional suspect.  It didn’t take the police dog to track the suspect down and he was taken into custody for a total of four arrests.

The four suspects also confessed to breaking windows at the two other schools earlier.
