‘Scraping’ sounds give away school break-in
Deputies arrested two suspected burglars after Sonitrol Pacific audio security ‘heard’ voices and scraping noises inside a Washington school December 30.
Operator Kristine Etheridge received an impact-activated audio alarm from the school at about 1:30 a.m.  She listened to real-time activity inside the building to verify the alarm, heard voices and noises of something being scraped on the floor and dispatched sheriff’s deputies.  Etheridge continued to monitor the intruders while officers were on their way.
Deputies located and arrested two suspected burglars.
