They can run, but can’t hide from audio

Sonitrol Pacific’s audio based security system detected an intruder at Shelby Dental and Lynnwood Police caught the suspect on the run December 22.

Operator Minta Christopherson received an alarm from the Lynnwood dental office.  Initially, “clattering” noises set off the clinic’s impact-activated audio security system, then Christopherson listened to live activity on scene and heard sounds of movement and banging.  She immediately called police.  Christopherson continued to monitor the intruder’s activity while officers were on their way.

When police arrived, the suspect ran.  Officers gave chase, quickly overtook the man and arrested him.
The man broke the lock on a window to get into the dental office and took dental equipment and tools, computer hardware and candy.  Thanks to the fast response by Christopherson and Lynnwood Police, all the items were recovered and the only damage was the broken window.
