Up on the rooftop ... audio detects kids’ footsteps
Police found three kids on the roof of a Washington grade school after Sonitrol Pacific’s audio security sensors detected the sound of someone running December 12.
Operations Center Manager Michelle Evans received the impact-activated alarm from the school, heard “what sounded like someone running in tennis shoes,” and called police.
Police arrived at the school minutes after getting the call and located three people on the roof. All three were taken into custody.
Evans proved she still had her sound analysis mojo with this event. She was monitoring accounts the evening of the December 12 in order to let a member of her team attend the Sonitrol Pacific Christmas party.
