Four Arrested After Detection By Sonitrol Pacific
Sonitrol Pacific’s silent alarm system led police to arrest four individuals suspected of burglary and vandalism of a shed at the River House and Rood Bridge Park in Hillsboro early morning April 11.
Signal activations were received in Sonitrol Pacific’s operations center by an experienced operator. He verified the alarm through real-time audio sensors and dispatched police.
Police officers responded to the call and found a shed on the park property had been burglarized and vandalized. They surrounded the property and located four suspects, one 18-year-old, two 17-year-olds, and one 16-year-old. According to police, the teens were out drinking prior to the burglary. The suspects face burglary charges and possibly alcohol related charges.
Sonitrol Pacific security systems are designed for the earliest possible detection of criminal activity in order to get police on scene quickly and minimize losses. In 2008, 178 suspects were arrested after a call from Sonitrol Pacific.
